ransom.gifRansom by Danielle Steel.

It has been a long time I have not read her books. I always thought that her books are somehow lovey-dovey type. Or maybe they are used to be. Anyway, a friend asked me to give Steel one more try…and yeah, I am hooked! There is some element of love there but not entirely, so it is good.

Heard that this book is made into a movie. I am not sure but anyway, reading is still better than watching. In movies, they tend to exclude some details, and we can’t read the thoughts as narrated in the books.

Hhhmmm…. I have a lot to catch up on her books. She has a long list of them!

…since the day I looked at the calendar on 14th Aug 07, planning my home leave. The next day I submitted my leave form and waited in anticipation for the leave to be approved. Well, up to now, I have not gotten the black and white approval, but it has been agreed verbally. So …

I am looking forward to it! I don’t long for food like many of my colleagues do. I don’t look forward to shopping, er…, maybe a little, but just to get some necesary stuff to bring back here to use. I think I long for the warm gathering of family members and close friends! Or maybe it is just because it is my home, my country, my people… No matter how bad it is, it is still my homeland. “Selamat Hari Merdeka!”
